“Not only are bloggers suckers for the remarkable, so are the Healthy School First Aid Swaps

As your kids go back to school, they will be surrounded by other kids who may come to school with all kinds of things, i.e sickness, lice, etc.

So, how can you best support your kids as they return, especially through the winter months?

You don’t want to keep your kid in a box, but there are great ways to support them!

Not to mention, if you have kids who are more accident prone!

I have some great options for you in this blog as well!

I’m excited to share in this blog some different ways you can support your kids as they return to school.

Let’s Start Here!

ACCIDENT PRONE: FIRST AID ON THE GO

When it comes to accidents - as caregivers we want to be prepared.

That’s why I always have a Correct-X handy, as well as a Lavender Touch.

Both are so helpful for any cuts, scrapes, or burns that children so often tend to be prone to.

🥺🥺🥺

Since we can’t send them to school in a bubble, get a little zipper pouch and add some above-mentioned items and band-aids and have them throw them in their bookbag (if your school allows it).

They will be glad they have it when they need it! Talk about empowering our kids.

GROWTH SPURTS

Growing too fast?

✅ We’ve got solutions.

Rescuer from my Kid’s Oil Collection would be a great option to rub on achy arms and legs as well as Deep Blue or Deep Blue Rub.

Before bedtime, massage sore areas with any or all of the above (go wild!) and your growing child will thank you after they sleep soundly!

How many of you massage this on before bed after a long day?

growing pains

EAR DISCOMFORT

Does your child struggle with frequent ear discomfort?

This is my kids all around!

Something that happened frequently.

So whether they were having ear discomfort or not, I always rolled this around their ears morning and night!

This might be worth trying for you too!

✅ To a 10 mL roller add:

10 drops Basil

10 drops Tea Tree

10 drops Lavender

Top with carrier oil

Roll behind ears and on ear lobes daily and/or as needed.

Ear infection

RISE AND SHINE

Rise and shine! ☀️

It’s been a fun summer of sleeping in and maybe hitting the snooze but it’s time to wake up refreshed and ready to roll!

We don’t want to be late! (Missing the bus and hitting the drop-off line is NOT my favorite thing to do in the morning)

👉 In a 10 mL roller bottle combine:

10 drops Peppermint

10 drops Wild Orange

Top with a carrier oil, roll in palms, and inhale deeply

👉 Another eye-opening favorite is the combination of:

8 drops Spearmint

8 drops Tangerine

8 drops Lime

Top with a carrier oil, roll in palms, and inhale deeply

🏅 Pro tip: Keep your Peppermint and Wild Orange on your nightstand or near the diffuser in the kitchen (or wherever you gather in the morning before all heading off for the day).

FIRST DAY JITTERS

The first day back after a long summer off can be just exciting as it is a little nerve-wracking.

For parents and for the kiddos alike!

To help combat feelings of anxiousness, we can always reach for our handy tools.

✅ Option 1:

Adaptiv Touch - Prediluted and ready to go!

✅ Option 2: DIY

In a 10 mL roller bottle combine:

5 drops Balance

5 drops Serenity

5 drops Citrus Bliss

Top with a carrier oil

Roll yourself and the kids as needed throughout the day to remain calm, cool, and collected!

SWEET DREAMS

Sleep. 😴

We are talking about one of the most important things in all of our lives!

A good night’s rest is critical for success the following day, especially for a long day of learning for your kiddos!

👉 Some tips: Diffuse Lavender or Serenity as you wind down and do the bedtime routine. If you want to do a relaxing massage feel free to use Calmer from the Kid’s Oil Collection as well. For older kiddos, Serenity softgels are also an option.

CHILL OUT

Chill out. We all need to do it from time to time.

Too much recess time.

Maybe too much sugar at school and now the kids are wound up and it’s time for homework or dinner.

🤩 Pop this in the diffuser:

3 drops Bergamot

2 drops Green Mandarin

3 drops Lavender

2 drops Lemongrass

That not cutting it?

Reach for your Copaiba and or Adaptiv softgels.

Take some deep breaths and everything will be zen before you know it!

What’s your favorite way to unwind and destress?

SCHOOL HAIR SPRITZ

With the return to school, comes all parents' worst fears: creepy crawlies. 🐜

Nothing makes the hairs on your head stand straight up and gets your scalp itchy.

Well, don’t ya know I have a solution for that!

👉 In a 2 oz spray bottle combine:

10 drops Rosemary

10 drops Tea Tree

10 drops Peppermint

Top with Witch Hazel and spray hair as needed.

Who will be making this up by the gallon?

lice

TEENAGE GIRL

Oh, the teenage years. I remember them well.

I wish I had some of these options we are going to go over today and I am sure my parents do too!

✅ Clary Calm (Monthly Blend for Women) is a must for any female in middle and high school. Use this blend to smooth out emotions during a woman’s monthly menstrual cycle as well as to ease any abdominal discomfort.

✅ Another great product to have on hand is the HD Clear line as so many young women may struggle with problem skin at an early age.

TEENAGE BOY

Instead of a teenage girl, you may have a teenage boy(s) or you might even have both!

So it’s only fair for some tips for the young man in your life.

Is there a stinky gym bag hanging out in your laundry room?

Maybe some strange odors coming out of those sneakers in the hallway.

👉 Add a few drops of Purify to a cotton ball and drop in sneakers or the gym bag. Let sit a few hours or overnight.

✅ For more stubborn stenches:

Add ½ cup rubbing alcohol along with 20 drops each of Tea Tree, Cypress, and Lemon oil to a spray bottle, shake and spray down your items.

How do you combat nasty odor in your home naturally?

KIDS OIL COLLECTION

Okay, let me talk about one of my favorite kit bundles!

The Kids Oil Collection!

This is everything you need to set your kids up for success over this school year!

Learn a little bit more about the different oils in this collection below.

STRONGER!

Last but most definitely not least in rounding out the 7 blends from the Kid’s Oil Collection is Stronger (Protective Blend).

💪 I know we talked about supporting our immunity earlier in the month, but it is never something that we can discuss too much or have too many tools for!

Stronger is a gentle powerhouse blend that has an uplifting aroma that rejuvenates and evokes feelings of wellness.

I love to rotate Stronger with my other immune-supporting oils/blends.

🤩 Bonus: it is a great blend for skin so keep on hand for occasional skin irritations.

BRAVE

I immediately fell in love with Brave AKA Courage Blend the very first time I smelled it.

Not only does it smell absolutely amazing, but I just love the idea behind having a crutch in a tough time.

Roll Brave on before a new or different situation to ease yourself or your child into a more comfortable atmosphere.

📣 Challenge: Begin each day with your Brave roller and some positive affirmations.

RESCUER

Kids are active.

From sun up to sun down they are going a mile a minute!

Rescuer (Soothing Blend) is there for your family after all of the running, jumping, and playing is all done.

Rub Rescuer onto legs, feet, and back to soothe a little one’s active, growing body.

CALMER

Oh, Calmer. 🥰🥰🥰

The Restful Blend.

The naptime blend.

The bedtime routine blend.

The middle-of-the-mall-meltdown blend.

You name it, Calmer is there to help you help your child wind down and relax.

Roll on wrists to melt away stress, or roll on the bottoms of the feet to prepare for bedtime.

THINKER

Thinker

What a perfect blend for this back-to-school series!

Whether your child is focusing on a quiz or test, starting their homework, or studying, they will definitely see a benefit from using this blend specifically formulated for focus.

You may want to grab one of these for yourself if you are anything like me and get distracted from task to task!

Do you move from task to task because you saw another thing that needs to be done now? Or is it just me?

TAMER

Tamer, our kids Digestive Blend is one of my personal favorites from the kid’s collection! (If you are not in love with the smell of DigestZen, this blend is for YOU.)

This blend is essential to have for times of tummy distress.

Maybe something from lunch didn't agree with your child or there is stomach flu going around school.

Whatever the case may be, I highly recommend having one of these in your child’s backpack for any digestion issues.

STEADY

Also known as the grounding blend.

Steady is ideal for daily centering as well as for times when feelings of anxiousness creep in (think before a test or before a performance).

Rubbing Steady on the neck and wrists will calm and comfort emotions so be sure to send this with your child when they are in need of a little steadying.

Note: all of the Blends in the Kid’s Oil Collection aren’t just for kids! Adults can enjoy their many benefits too.
